A Message from the President

Dear AIDA Members and Colleagues,

It is an honor to serve as President of the American International Dancers Association at a time when our profession continues to evolve, expand, and inspire. AIDA exists because we share a common belief: that excellence in dance education, artistry, and professionalism matters-not only to our industry, but to the communities we serve and the students we guide.

For decades, AIDA has supported teachers, examiners, competitors, and organizers across all styles of ballroom and theatrical dance. Our mission remains clear: to uphold the highest standards of teaching, foster collaboration among organizations, and elevate the art and prestige of dance throughout North America.

As we look ahead, our focus is both practical and visionary. We are committed to strengthening professional examinations and medal programs, encouraging greater participation in certification pathways, expanding membership, and building stronger connections among teachers at every stage of their careers. We also recognize the importance of visibility-at competitions, in studios, and within our broader dance community-so that AIDA continues to be a vibrant and relevant voice for professionals.

AIDA is not simply an organization; it is a community of dedicated artists and educators. Progress happens when members share ideas, mentor one another, and actively shape the future of our profession. I invite you to take part in that process-whether by encouraging new members, supporting examinations, contributing ideas, or helping build local chapters.

We are all on the same team. We all want the same thing: to be better teachers, stronger professionals, and ambassadors for the art we love. Together, we can ensure that AIDA continues to grow, adapt, and serve the next generation of dancers and instructors.
